Welcome to The Zorro Series Costume Study, I hope these costumes interest you in the Spanish California style. The men's clothing are sharp, different and interesting compared to other historical clothing, so this blog is mostly dedicated to them.
The Zorro Series Costume Study is always a working progress with lots of change within it. Click on a name above that interest you, and leave a comment if you have a question.
Thanks,
The Authoress

Hello!
Thank you for commenting!
As far as I know, they are Spanish clothing of the Spanish-California era (around the 1800s). I'm sorry, but I don't know the actual name of the style.
I believe you can buy similar designs at costume stores on line. These costumes are not easy to find, good luck looking for them though!
To the French fan: the costumes are called 'suits' with cropped jackets, cummerbunds (the sash wrapped around the waist) and pants. You cannot find these costumes, they were made by the wardrobe dept for the show. This year it seems all the jackets are crops anyways and women should wear the sashes instead of letting their guts spill out over their pants and gross out everyone. You will probably not see this but there you go.
